The Improv Pit is the business name of Improv Pit Pty Ltd. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Improv Pit Pty Ltd. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect

When you fill in a form on this site. Your name, email address and anything you write in your message. Some forms also ask for your phone number or organisation.

When you book a class, show or workshop. Bookings are handled by TryBooking and Eventbrite. They collect your details under their own privacy policies and pass us the booking information we need to run the class or show.

When you browse this site. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads. They use cookies to record how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, device type, approximate location and how you arrived. We use this to understand which pages are useful and whether our ads work. It isn't used to identify you.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to tell you about classes and workshops you've asked to hear about, to run your booking, and to improve the site. We only email you about what you signed up for. To stop hearing from us, reply to any email or contact us below.

We don't sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run the site and our bookings: Squarespace hosts this website and its forms, Google provides analytics, advertising and email services, and TryBooking and Eventbrite handle ticketing. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States.

How we look after it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information and keep it only for as long as we need it.

Cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
