Eight weeks of Chicago-style long-form improv in Collingwood, bringing Levels 1 and 2 together into full pieces built around the Harold.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
The Harold is a long-form format built from a single audience suggestion. Three storylines run through it, broken up by group scenes, and they come back and connect by the end.

The long-form format the whole term builds towards.
Characters and themes
Developing characters further and finding the themes that link one scene to the next.
Game of the scene
Spotting the funny pattern in a scene and building on it.
Second beats
Bringing characters and ideas back later in a piece and taking them further.
Full long-form pieces
Combining everything from Levels 1 and 2 into complete long-form pieces as an ensemble.

EIGHT WEEKS, THEN A SHOW
Two hours a week for eight weeks. On the Thursday after your final class, you’ll do a class show at our venue, The Pit Theatre. Invite whoever you like, or no one.
SMALL GROUPS
Classes are capped at 15 people, so everyone’s up and working in every class.
BUILT ON LEVELS 1 AND 2
Level 3 picks up where Level 2 finishes. New to The Improv Pit?
Start with Level 1.
INTAKES AND BOOKING
8 weeks, 7:00pm to 9:00pm. $395 per term, or $265 for returning students. Small groups, 18+.
